Despite the collective fan grief over computerized Jabba, shooting-first Greedo, and the general amount of weird added background aliens all over the place, Lucasfilm still hasn’t released an unaltered, remastered version of the original trilogy. But Star Wars fans are nothing if not steadfastly ingenious, so they made their own!
Even if you have no desire to download the (pretty much very illegal) fruits of their labor, the above video is an interesting look at the video editing process and what the people behind this project had to do in order to make it work.
