Before we get any further let me preface this post with a disclaimer. While this is official Star Wars art, it is not official Star Wars: Episode VII art. Ok, moving on. The images come from artist Darren Tan’s work on Star Wars: The Essential Reader’s Companion. While we don’t have a clue as to what the plot of the J.J. Abrams directed film will be, many are hoping they will feature stories and characters from the extended universe. And the art here just to happens to feature characters like Mara Jade and several settings from the EU. Might we see them come to life on the big screen? Check out Tan’s Deviant Art page for more illustrations from other Star Wars books plus trading cards and explanations of each scene.
