If Star Wars Took Place in an ’80s High School, the Clothes Would Be Just About As Weird

Artist Denis Medri has put a John Hughes spin on Star Wars by setting it in an ’80s high school and giving everyone really weird clothes. Wait, that’s redundant. It’s set in the ’80s. Of course there are weird clothes. We’ve featured part of the series before, but this time around he’s illustrated actual scenes from the original trilogy.

I see you there, ’80s AV Club Lobot!

Fantastic. Stoner Jock Chewbacca and Punk Rock Greedo are hilarious although I’m not really feeling the Han Solo.

Well the original drafts and some of the earliest scenes shot were sort of a teen movie. The Biggs darklighter stuff and footage of Luke looking at the explosions in space with binoculars and talking to his friends.

Is it weird that I would kind of want to see this if it were a movie?
