Con't hardly wait!

Taking place over June 6th-7th at Pier 94 in New York City, Special Edition: NYC is a great way to interact with your favorite creators and meet other fans and industry members in a uniquely intimate convention environment.

ReedPOP’s impressive line-up of creators for New York’s second-annual Special Edition include Amy Reeder, Chris Claremont, Alex Maleev, Mark Texeira, Fred Van Lente, Greg Pak, Kevin Maguire, Marguerite Bennett, and Kate Leth. Lance Fensterman, Global Senior Vice President of ReedPOP, explains what the event has in store for fans:

We launched Special Edition: NYC last year, because we knew fans were clamoring for a more exclusive event aimed specifically at comic books since New York Comic Con has grown into the massive success that it has and we felt that it answered this call. Fans and artists were able to interact and the overall environment fostered such a strong community of comic book fans. We’re excited to see what this year brings in a new location with an even better lineup.

But the Special Edition experience isn’t just limited to Con hours; fans 21-and-over can meet up at a Comic Book School or Sonicboombox after party on Saturday; attendees wishing to network are invited to a free Creator After Con event on Saturday; and the weekend will close out with an all-ages party at Playwright Irish Pub.

If you’re already planning to attend, don’t forget to put The Mary Sue on your con itinerary! We’ll have our own Special Edition booth and will be hosting two panels that we’d love to see you at:

The Mary Sue Presents: Comic Book Movies/TV We’re Flailing Over

Creating Comics: The Real Stories
