People Think This Twitter Account Is Leaking Captain America: Civil War Info, and It Looks Shady
Viral marketing or hoax? Hero or menace?
File this one under “sketchy.”
We’re less than a year away from Captain America: Civil War and haven’t seen anything from it, really, so it’s easy to see why people might be a bit eager to believe anything. Enter the @Russo_Brothers Twitter account—named for the Marvel movie directing team—which has been tweeting close-cropped images that many are theorizing come from Civil War. It’s shady at best, but the going pandemonium—er, theory is that this is a look at Spider-Man’s new costume:

And then there’s this, which people believe to be an image of (Ant-Man spoilers!)

They’ve tweeted plenty of other cryptic shots, too:

But don’t get your hopes up. Though conspiracy theories with additional details and speculation have popped up in many a comments section, there’s no reason to believe any of this is real. Still, we do live in the age of viral marketing, so it’s not completely outside the realm of possibility—just barely.
