Robert Kirkman’s New Comic Is Already Getting a Television Series

and let it be known

But it’s not about zombies and the apocalypse this time. It’s about demons. And the apocalypse.

And that’s pretty much where the similarities end, so far as I can tell.

Robert Kirkman remains an executive producer on The Walking Dead as well as the writer behind the comic series on which it is based, but that doesnt’ doesn’t mean he can’t branch out. And it certainly doesn’t mean he can’t start new comics projects. And with a television success like The Walking Dead, it’s no wonder that folks are interested in his next supernatural near-apocalypse project.

Along with a fellow TWD producer, Fox, and Image Comics, Kirkman will be overseeing a possible television adaptation of his upcoming and unnamed comics project featuring exorcism as a major theme:

The script centers on Kyle Barnes, who has been plagued by possession since he was a child. Now an adult, he embarks on a spiritual journey to find answers, but what he uncovers could mean the end of life on Earth as we know it.

This is all not to be confused with Kirkman’s Thief of Theives, another adaptation of his comics work in production at AMC. On second thought, maybe he should take some time to relax…

Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
