Over Instagram earlier today, Lucy director Luc Besson revealed that Rihanna has joined the cast of his upcoming film Valérian in what he describes as a “big part!!”
Officially titled Valérian and the City of a Thousand Planets, Besson’s film is an adaptation of Pierre Christin and Jean-Claude Mézières’ graphic novel series Valérian and Laureline.
Rihanna won’t be playing the movie’s lead female character (the role of Laureline has already gone to Cara Delevingne), but I’m still super pumped to see her take on a sci-fi project. Anyone more familiar with the source material than I am care to speculate about who Rihanna will be playing?
