Looks Like Rapunzel Popped Into Frozen For a Split Second

…and she and Eugene left for Arendelle without her director even knowing! Scandalous. Behind the cut you’ll find the Facebook conversation wherein Tangled director Nathan Greno is alerted to his creations’ surprise cameo appearance.

What with it being official that Tangled and Frozen take place in the same universe, I’m convinced that Maximus and Hans’ horse are actually one in the same. He took a jaunt to the Southern Isles for… spoilery reasons. I can’t say. But that’s my headcanon and I’m sticking to it.

I love this Easter Eggs! I hadn’t spotted Rapunzel but at the ball scene there was a girl (turning her back to us) that looked a bit like Tiana… Did anyone get that too?

This just adds to the billion things I love about Frozen. Definitely getting the Pixar Award for next year’s Oscars, might get a Best Picture nod. And it should. It comes REALLY close to the perfection this is Beauty and the Beast.

I caught that the first time I saw the film! It was very exciting. And now I’m envisioning fanfic where Rapunzel and Anna double-team on Elsa. Because it would be hilarious. I might have to write it.

Adding Tiana would be a bit weird though. She is so definitely of ‘our’ world, and 20th Century too. Even if you want to create the illustion that Rapunzel’s and Elsa’s kingdoms exist in our universe and not fairy tale land, the chronology seems off.

I’d see it mostly as an Easter Egg thing, the kind we’ve seen in other Disney movies (Scar in Hercules, Ms Potts in Tarzan, the Beast toy in Aladdin, the Mulan Poster in Lilo& Stitch…)

That I liked. As far as I’m concerned they could definately have added a more diverse cast even if it’s set in mythical Scandinavia.
