YouTuber AkilahObviously Uses Different Flavors of Pizza to Explain Intersectional Feminism

"As great as it is to uplift cheese pizzas, the world could use a lot more flavor."

Intersectional feminism is the feminism we should all strive to practice – but what does that mean? YouTuber AkilahObviously has outlined it in this new video where she uses an analogy of burgers and pizzas to explain.

In Akilah’s own words,

I think it’s time we talk about feminism a little differently/more inclusively on YouTube. While it’s great and delightful to have such broad discussions about sexism and feminism on the internet, it’s pretty clear that the majority of the issues deemed worthy of discussion seem to only highlight the plight of White women. We’re all hoping that one day women will be treated as equals on a societal level with men, but in the meantime, it would be nice if we could talk about issues maybe a little more pressing like the lack of media coverage when intersectional women go missing, or the reality of the pay gap. We gotta do better!

And now I’m super hungry for pizza.
