Here’s A Sneak Peek At Marvel’s Peggy Carter One Shot [VIDEO]

If you weren’t at San Diego Comic-Con, you’ll have to wait until the Iron Man 3 dvd/blu-ray is released to see “Marvel One Shot: Agent Carter” starring Hayley Atwell. But happily, Marvel decided to release a little sneak peek for us to flail over.

    So badass.

Aww. She lives in Brooklyn still, Steve’s old neighborhood. (And also where the secret antique shop base is, but still.) I love Agent Carter.

    “I live in Brooklyn, actually.”

    LULZ.

Kicked through a window, by a shoe with a stiletto heel? Now that’s gotta hurt! Was pretty much certain of buying IM3 anyway but it’s a sure thing now. As long as this is on the UK version and Disney don’t screw us over again….

I did attend the Agent Carter showing at SDCC, and let me assure you Peggy is THE BEST. She is a pillar of calm efficiency who kicks all the ass, and still doesn’t lose and ounce of her femininity. After the showing we all agreed we’d watch a full feature film about her.

Peggy is probably my favorite character in the entire Marvel movie universe and I simply cannot wait to see this in full.

    So awesome.

Very cool. (But man, I’ve got a pet peeve about women being depicted kicking ass wearing ridiculous high heels. NOOOOO. Good footwear is important for a professional ass kicker.)

  • Pink Apocalypse

I normally agree wholeheartedly with that (it’s an action movie pet peeve of mine as well), but given the context of both era (40s) and intention (looking inconspicuous), I was just fine with it.

On a slightly-related note, making Ginger Rogers wear heels just proved she was the best. I would have liked to see Fred Astaire try that. Backwards.

My wife and I were at the Agent Carter showing at SDCC, and I can confirm that the film short is completely awesome. It delivers pretty much what every Peggy Carter fan is looking for, is fantastically produced, and gives us hope for more Agent Carter adventures.

The after-show panel with Hayley Atwell and the writers & producers was super cool, too. To say nothing (okay, very little) of how jaw-droppingly gorgeous Ms. Atwell is…
