Say Goodbye to Barbara Walters With the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

What happened, April? This was your scoop!

This morning Barbara Walters bid farewell to The View after five decades of working in broadcasting, and what better way to honor such a radical dudette than by looking back at this historic interview from her 1991 Oscar special? Just think: the people inside those Turtles suits are making some Juilliard professors very proud.

For the record, Walters has said she “doesn’t want to go down in history for interviewing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” Sorry, Barbara, but if you don’t want to be remembered for exposés on the Academy’s reptile prejudice then you should stop holding interviews in sewers!

Cowabunga, and enjoy your retirement.
