The First Official Trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man

You know, the new one, because Toby Maguire has back problems now and Sony Pictures would really like to keep the rights to Spider-Man out of Disney’s hands for the next half-a-decade or so.

I kid, I kid! One of the biggest questions surrounding The Amazing Spider-Man is why we needed a Spider-Man reboot in the first place, and this trailer does present its differences from the last series well enough. The question now is whether those differences will be enough.

At this point all we can know for certain is that it will be better than Spider-Man 3.

    I was really against this movie from the start..but the trailer has really changed my mind.  Emma Stone makes a great Gwen and Andrew Garfield isn’t so bad as Spidey. LOVE Connor’s Lizardy look too

    Isn’t this the second official trailer? Regardless, I’m liking these scenes a whole lot more, the first looked a bit too much like a video game (à la Mirror’s Edge), I can’t help but wonder if the CGI simply wasn’t as refined back in that stage.

    Good job Marketing Team. Way more impressed with this trailer. I think they did a great job and I think people will be very intrigued to see this iteration. I know I am now.

    Loving the trailer, looks like they might do Spiderman justice this time around.

    Although to me Andrew Garfield will always be the loser kid from Sugar Rush….

    Why they didn’t go with Emma Stone as MJ in the first place is a mystery to me.

    We all know Gwen dies in the end (if you reading this isn’t aware, oops, sorry :P) and it’s seriously making me think if they’re gonna stick with Gwen Stacy throughtout the series, or eventually kill her off and put in MJ.

    Ah men, this is reminding me of Smallville so bad. After making me a Lana/Clark fan for so long, they THEN put in Lois. Sigh.
