K-2SO’s Got a Thing for Probability and Odds Just Like C-3PO in New Rogue One Clip

During today’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story live Q&A event on Twitter, Lucasfilm unveiled some brand new footage from the movie. In the clip, Cassian (Diego Luna) notices that Jyn’s brought a blaster of her own onto his ship, and he’s none too happy about it. The clip appears to be from earlier in the movie, given the tension between Cassian and Jyn.

What’s extra nice about this clip is that it’s got some solid lines from K-2SO, Cassian’s reprogrammed Imperial bodyguard droid. The last clip that came out about Rogue One gave him a pretty prominent spot, so it’s nice to see more of him here. Before, I said that he reminded me a bit of HK-47, the assassin droid from the classic BioWare RPG, Knights of the Old Republic. K-2SO’s brusque, and totally can’t wait to say, “I told you so,” after warning Cassian about Jyn maybe possibly using her blaster on him. “You’re letting her keep it?” he asks. “Would you like to know the probability of her using it against you? It’s high.”

It’s a decidedly short clip, one that (perhaps expectedly) doesn’t reveal too much or anything, given that we’re about two weeks away from the film’s release date.

What’d you think of the clip? Are you stoked about the fact that we’re two weeks away from a new Star Wars movie?!
