It took me three years, on-and-off, to finish Susanna Clarke’s debut novel, Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell. Loved the story, hated the fake footnotes. And throughout all that reading I thought, This would make an awesome movie. And best of all, the movie won’t have footnotes. Thankfully, the book is now an upcoming mini-series!
