Charles Dance Reveals More Tywin Lannister For Game of Thrones Season 5

A Lannister always comes back for cameos.

Another day, another Game of Thrones rumor… except this one came out of the mouth of an actor on the show! Spoilers abound, naturally.

Remember how Tywin Lannister totally took an arrow to the vital organs at the end of this year’s season? While promoting the new movie Dracula Untold, Charles Dance told MTV UK that he’s “not completely missing out on the next series. More than that, I’m not going to say. You haven’t seen the last of Tywin Lannister, is all I’ll say.” Video below:

Of course, “I’m not going to say more than that” is secret actor code for “HEY FANDOM LET’S ALL TALK ABOUT THIS FOREVER,” so we’ve got some theories as to how the Lannister patriarch will return. Possibly he’ll play his own dead corpse the same way Jack Gleeson did, as Tywin’s funeral is a scene in A Feast for Crows. There’s also been speculation that the show will work the Maggy the Frog story into this season via a flashback, so it’s possible Tywin could show up there. Or perhaps, as with Jason Momoa’s Khal Drogo in Season 2, he’ll appear as a vision to a remaining (and probably very drunk) Lannister relative. My money’s on Tyrion, of course, since the whole patricide thing probably awards him more daddy issues than the rest of the clan. What do you all think?
