Mario Creator Shigeru Miyamoto Does Some Mario Mythbusting Once and for All

Myths are busted with your head. Bricks with your fist.

Sure, Miyamoto can say Mario only breaks bricks with his fist all he wants, but I’ve seen—with my own two eyes—the sprite’s head make contact with a brick, with the fist safely off to the side, and the brick still break. For that matter, Mario’s hands aren’t even up in the second and third jumps in his “triple jump” sequence in newer games, yet those jumps can still break bricks. Explain that, Miyamoto!
