Let’s Get Down To Business: Ming-Na Wen Is Back To Kicking Butt As Mulan!

She'll bring honor to us all!

One of the few drawbacks of routinely playing a tough cookie on shows like S.H.I.E.L.D. or Stargate is that even when suiting up to reprise your role as one of Disney’s most beloved princesses, your voice-acting can fall a little under the radar. Thankfully Ming-Na Wen, bad-ass extraordinaire, posted this PSA to Facebook recently for all the Mulan-lovers out there:

I’m back as #Mulan!!!
Be sure to grab your little ones and watch Mulan’s appearance on theDisney Channel’s ‘Sofia the First’ airing Aug. 15!
Also did you know my daughter Michaela Zee does the voice of Princess Jun? #Disneyfamily

This isn’t the first time Wen has returned as Mulan–since the original 1998 film she’s lent her talents to a sequel, a short, and even the video game. Sofia the First is a computer-animated series featuring guest characters from the Disney princess franchise–and if Disney canon isn’t complicated enough, I know someone out there already has theories for a S.H.I.E.L.D./House of Mouse crossover.
