Megan Fox: Marine Biologist, Dolphin Whisperer [VIDEO]

The premise of this commercial: Megan Fox is pitched a movie with “unicorns, zebras, you in your underwear!” and decides she’d rather pursue her lifelong love of science. Marine biology, in particular. She then joins a team of male scientists and figures out a way to talk to dolphins. I couldn’t remember what brand of computer this was advertising like 30 seconds after I watched it, but really, does it matter?

    Xenia’s like, “I don’t want to talk to this vapid bimbo,” but otherwise it’s definitely a good step in the right direction for Fox to start making herself more likeable. Except the weird fat guy with the handshake of longing, hardy har, all very funny.

    i really like megan fox as a person. she’s not some reckless hollywood party tramp. she’s quite grounded and earnest in interviews. it looks like her acting got better! maybe motherhood will transform her as much as it did to angelina jolie. i really hope she makes a comeback.

    I agree – the slight hint of the scientists “oggling” her was uncalled for but at least it was very much secondary to the idea of her being an intelligent driven woman. I’m not a Fox fan usually, but this was enjoyable. :)

    It sort of undermined the premise. She rejects the movie offer at the beginning, presumably because the role is shallow (not unlike Transformers and How To Lose Friends and Alienate People), and the wink-nudge joke at the viewing audience at the end is, “Isn’t that fat guy a silly creeper for oggling her?”

    I have nothing against Megan Fox at all, but I don’t see the appeal of this commercial. :S

    I find it boring, clichéd, forced because it screams “Look how Megan Fox can be clever, you haven’t see her true character, let’s put her with scientists because that is a thing for intelligent people, right ?… and also dolphins” and that’s facepalm-inducing for me. But above all it’s REALLY long for a theatre commercial and I fear I will have to bear it for the months to come. Still, a good message from an actress who wants to rebounce from the Transformers pin-up sticker she carries, I’m fine with that.
