Matt Smith Puts on Bart Simpson Mask, Wonders Why Strangers Won’t Talk to Him

Among the many hidden benefits of cosplay is that it makes it possible for actors and other well known faces in the geek world to walk around cons in acceptable dress while also hiding their identities. I have a friend in London and she does an amazing American accent. Now, full disclosure, she is an actor by trade, but she says her friends can do it too because they are exposed to a lot more American television and movies than we are exposed to British ones.

I wouldn’t have talked to him either! That mask is super creepy and off putting (I feel like it looks like a mask someone would put on to specifically be a creeper at cons to get away with weird stuff)
