We’ve told you about the awesome 50th Anniversary S.H.I.E.L.D. one-shots that Marvel Comics is releasing in September. Now, they’ve released two of the covers; those of Peggy Carter and Daisy “Quake” (aka Skye on TV) Johnson.

They’re paying homage to these ladies by including them in the popular “action figure” variant covers drawn by John Tyler Christopher. Agent Carter’s is above, and here’s the solicitation info:

It’s really cool that they’re shining a spotlight on these women who’ve appeared not only on television, but in the Marvel comics. I also like that they haven’t altered the looks of these characters here to correspond with their television counterparts – making them more of a “tie-in” and erasing their comics history. However, it’s also cool that female characters original to the MCU, like Agent Melinda May, get to join the comics universe as part of this event. It’s gonna be a great Fall!
