My elementary school teacher had this! He used to play a fraction's LazerDisc to us at math time. We also raised Chickens & duckies in an incubator in class and onetime he brought in a hover-chair he built out of a shopvac.

Also-how fun to watch an involuntary ad to watch an ad.

Am I the only one who would find it awesome if the PS4 actually looked like that? Perhaps that's just due to my long-unfulfilled desire to own a LaserDisc player.

I'd never seen this before, but had to go look for a link to the original, and here it is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4pBk3-fduU

What a classic piece of retro advertising!

What, they couldn't afford Nimoy himself? Or at least a halfway decent sound-alike? Or, maybe it's part of the whole "low budget" thing they did.

The original ad had been for a laser disc player, back when such laser discs were more than twice the diameter of later DVDs and Blu-ray Discs.
Sony's PlayStation 4 had not even been proposed, much less researched or developed, least of all prototyped, at that time.

That may very well be the worst impersonation I've heard since William Shatner impersonated a singer.
