LEGO-fied Version of Rogue One Trailer Absolutely Nails It

LEGO-fied Rogue One Trailer

Simply because we cannot get enough Rogue One content around here, here’s a LEGO-fied version of the Rogue One trailer. As far as I can tell, it was created all by hand with what looks like stop-motion animation—no small feat, to be sure. Not only is it impeccably animated, but it’s also 100% in line with the actual trailer. It follows the live action trailer beat by beat. Each fade in, voice over, even tilt of a character head (lookin’ at you, Mon Mothma) is recreated in great detail. It’s clear that the folks over at Animators Collective are incredibly skilled at what they do, because it really shows here.

As well, the computer generated visual effects are very well done. What I really enjoy are the little details they put into getting the minifigs’ faces just right. I can’t wait to get a Jyn Erso minifig! Oh, and check out those LEGO-modeled titles. They’re the perfect touch, really. And if you don’t believe me about the two trailers being nearly identical, check out the handy-dandy side-by-side video they created below. You know you want to.
