It’s official — German laser aficionado Patrick Priebe has all the best toys. We’ve brought you looks at Priebe’s work before, including a working replica of the Dead Space plasma cutter, but his newest project really takes the cake, because seriously, all I’ve ever wanted out of life is a gatling gun that shoots high-energy lasers. Which means all I have to do to make my life complete is go and steal Priebe’s.
Of course, trying to burglarize the home of someone who is so clearly talented at weaponizing lasers is a sketchy proposition at best, but Priebe has left me no choice. While he’s posted video of the gun in action, which you can and should check out above, he hasn’t been forthcoming on the details, posting the demonstration with only the following note a couple of days ago.
NO PLANS, NO TUTORIALS
NOT for sale, its just a prototype.
Sure, that’s disappointing, but it’s understandable, too. After all, if there’s one thing comic books have taught us about advanced laser cannons, it’s that they always need to be kept out of the wrong hands. Unfortunately, if there are two things comic books have taught us, the second is that advanced laser cannons will pretty much always all into the wrong hands anyway. So if anyone needs me, I’ll be in a giant swivel chair stroking a white cat. Just, you know, practicing.
