Karen Gillan Has Wrapped on Guardians of the Galaxy

It Came From Outer Space

According to Karen Gillan and James Gunn themselves, the actress has completed her turn as Guardians of the Galaxy‘s bald lady space pirate Clint Eastwood. This is probably good news for anybody who likes her hair.

And while Ms. Gillan can and should do anything she wants with her tresses and appearance, I would be lying if I wasn’t hoping for the “adorable pixie cut” phase of the Young Actress Growing Her Hair Out From Completely Shaved progression. I always thought the post-V for Vendetta Natalie Portman rocked that look pretty hard and we’ve just about reached the end of my ability to comment on celebrity hairstyles so lets move on.

Gillan’s tweet, announcing that her time crafting the performance of space-pirate queen Nebula had reached a conclusion, was corroborated by a parting answer from director James Gunn. Gunn’s answer gives us a hint at Nebula’s character that has me feeling pretty optimistic about liking the character:

Guardians of the Galaxy as a whole has about ten months to make it to our screens, but the no doubt special effects heavy film will probably be spending a lot of that time in post production.
