James Franco Joins The Veronica Mars Movie?

Just Go With It

Recommended Videos

James “I’m in everything” Franco has seemingly landed himself a new gig. A role in the upcoming Veronica Mars movie! But who will he play?

Franco recently took a turn playing himself in Seth Rogan’s This is the End. Turns out he’ll be doing that again in Veronica Mars. Zap2It has the scoop:

A source tells us that James Franco is scripted to appear … as himself. He’ll be one of several celebrities in the movie who have been victims of a hidden camera scam. No, not like on “Duped!” — “one of those reality shows where people get duped into doing stupid things like giving some stranger their car or a bunch of money.”

But the kind of scam where someone hides cameras in famous people’s houses and tries to sell the videos. Sounds like a case for everyone’s favorite pint-sized private eye.

Do you think the production is adding famous names to the cast to draw a wider audience come release? Or is this just a case of “let’s put some of our friends in the movie?”

I’d still rather see Veronica at the FBI.
