Sure, Iron Man 3 and Star Trek Into Darkness got their spots out to eager eyeballs, but another old Star Trek alumni also made his Super Bowl debut, a Budweiser ad made grown men weep, and some robots wrecked the place.

Iron Man 3 ran this ad:

And cheekily promised an extended look online, only to deliver this:

Star Trek Into Darkness told everybody how much better it was than them:

While, in some markets, Wil Wheaton got to be in a Super Bowl commercial!

And we’ll admit it. The use of “Landslide” is just cruel in this context.

I embed this video purely because somebody in my Twitter feed, and I wish I could remember who, suggested that these robot women be on hand to disrupt all gross, sexist, gender-stereotyping Super Bowl commercials, and that is an effort I am completely behind.
