Inevitable Godzilla Sequel Confirmed, Will Feature Rodan, Mothra, and Ghidorah

But what about GAMERA

Did you like the most recent Godzilla reboot? Because Legendary’s planning on making much, much more of them.

According to sources at the Legendary panel at San Diego Comic-Con this year, the movie studio has confirmed a second movie for the newly awoken franchise, which will once again by directed by Gareth Edwards—once he finishes up that stand-alone Star Wars movie he’s been assigned, of course.

A teaser shown at the panel reportedly showed outlines of the three classic kaiju (Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah) while Godzilla rampaged across San Francisco, with the tag line “Let Them Fight” prominently featured. Whatever, man. None of y’all are giant turtles that I can make Guardians of the Galaxy jokes about, so you do not matter to me. But for fans of kaiju movies who base their love of the genre around, you know, actually watching the films themselves, this is probably pretty great news. What do you think?
