With the addition of beer at some of its U.K. stores, we here at Geekosystem now figure that you can buy everything you need at IKEA. Cheap beds, affordable desks, surprisingly good meatballs, cheap hotdogs, and now Öl Mörk Lager.
Available in-store only (sorry, online shoppers) and only at certain U.K. locations (sorry, the rest of the beer-drinking world), ÖL Mörk Lager is a no-assembly-required dark lager beer. Clocking in at 4.7% alcohol, this is surprisingly not the only spirit available at IKEA. In fact, if you’re in the U.K. you can buy hard liquor along with your FLORT bags and MOSES chairs.
Sadly, we cannot confirm if the beer is any good. According to the review site Untappd, 11 reviewers have given the beer a modest 3.46 out of five. Not bad for an ikea beer, I’d say. Reviews in English seem mixed, but no one is going out of their way to decry the beverage.
Now, we just need to get some of this in the States so I can see how much it impedes my furniture construction abilities.
