Her Universe Celebrates The Women Who Love Sci-Fi With Hot Topic [VIDEO]

When we found out HerUniverse.com was teaming with retailer Hot Topic, we were very excited. Why? Because it meant more people would lay their eyes on the fantastic merchandise Ashley Eckstein has helped create for women who love sci-fi (Have you seen the latest?). Here’s a great video Hot Topic put together where we find out a bit about Eckstein’s background and hear her talk about the character she voices on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Ahsoka Tano.

    I discovered Her Universe via the Mary Sue’s holiday gift guide last year. It was perfect timing, because it was day in which two separate people had told me that my love of Star Wars made me “a weird, (but cool) girl who is really more like a guy.” Also that “It would make more guys want to get with me so that’s cool.” Fuming, I came across Ashely’s store. The products were adorable, but it was the message that “girls” and “Star Wars fans” were not an abnormal combo that really made my day. I’ve been a loyal customer ever since. Love the interview.
