Yeah, but that doesn’t bother me so much. It may be an old trope to comic fans who know the lore of Captain America, but not as much to “civilians” and casual moviegoers. I’m basing it more on Atwell doing an enjoyable job and wanting to see her as an actress explore the Carter legacy as a new character. She may look like Peggy, but she’s not and it makes an interesting situation for Steve Rogers.

I hope the casting changes as I would really, really, really like to see Haley back as Sharon. She was one of the best parts of the film and she’d be fierce as the Captain’s contemporary.

Flashback would be good. Or use some prosthesis to have Sharon meeting “Grandma Peggy” in a brief scene.

I would have liked to see her take on the role of Agent 13. It would have been fun playing with the makeup and hair and fashion of the WW2 period and the modern day, and playing off of the ancestry.
