Harry Potter’s Emma Watson And Daniel Radcliffe Talk Hamster Burials, David Bowie Horcruxes

Take that, Herpo the Foul.

Last Friday Emma Watson was awarded a Britannia Award for Best Artist of the Year, and accepted the honor with an emotional speech honoring the surrogate family she has found within the British film industry. As an example of the warmth and support the film community has shown her over the years, Watson shared an anecdote about her beloved hamster Millie, who passed away from a heart attack during Harry Potter filming and was laid to rest in a casket built by the production team. Thank you, Millie, for your many contributions to the Potter franchise. Death is but the next great adventure.

In non hamster-burial news, Daniel Radcliffe took to Reddit earlier this week for an AMA in support of Horns. In addition to answering questions about his Halloween costume (Boba Fett) and his favorite person in Harry Potter (“Any of the characters my dad used to hang out with, other than Wormtail”), Radcliffe also revealed what his exceptionally Radcliff-ian horcrux would be:

That’s a really good question. First of all, congratulations to you for asking me a Harry Potter question I have NEVER been asked before, that is not easily achieved!

I would say… I was gonna say my iPod, prolly put it in that, but I would put it inside an album on the iPod, so you’d have to open that album. So I somehow want it to be connected to a particular album that means something, like Ziggy Stardust. So that’s how I’d want to do that.

Okay, but who are we to presume Dan Rad murdered in order to encase his soul in an iPod? That’s the more pressing question here. Watch your back I guess, David Bowie.
