Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer, Now With 100% More Luke Skywalker. ARE YOU HAPPY NOW!?

An old Jedi editing trick.

Star Wars fans—yours truly admittedly included—just can’t seem to shut up about Luke Skywalker’s absence from promotional materials for The Force Awakens. What happened to him? Is he a Jedi ghost? Has he gone into hiding like Obi-Wan? Is he on the dark side now? (As fun a twist as it sounds, and as popular as the theory is, that last one wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense.)

This trailer goes with a different explanation: he is everywhere, in every scene, digitally reinserted as George Lucas would’ve intended. I mean, give the people what they want, right? You asked for Luke Skywalker, and you’ve got him, Internet. Everywhere. All the time. He’s probably behind you right now.

It’s like the old saying goes: “If you omit me from the trailer, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.”
