The First Trailer For Hitchcock Is Full Of Helen Mirren Goodness

Did you think Alfred Hitchcock ever thought people would be watching trailers about him rather than his films? It just so happens there’s two this year – HBO’s The Girls, starring Toby Jones as the director, and this one, called simply Hitchcock, starring Anthony Hopkins. It also stars the always awesome Helen Mirren as Hitchcock’s wife, Alma Reville. Check out the first trailer and let us know what you think.

    This looks like a much more rounded film though Toby Jones seems much creepier in the role…I’ll watch both.

    Isn’t there also that film about the making of Psycho coming out within the next year or so? There’s a lot of Alfred Hitchcock to go around.

    I love Anthony Hopkins, but he doesn’t feel like Alfred Hitchcock at all. He looks like Fred Thompson and his voice just doesn’t sound right. I know nothing of Hitchcock’s wife so currently I’m more interested by Helen Mirren’s performance in this.

    Nope. I was thinking of this movie. I didn’t even watch the trailer and didn’t realize this was the one with Scarlett Johansson.
