Can You Identify These Famous Film Characters… By Their Shoes?

[View All on One Page]

Fredrico Mauro and Nicolas Bannister have created these portraits of famous feet. Try covering up some of the titles and seeing if you can name the character just by looking at their footwear. If you can, it will be quite the feet…I mean, feat.

Doctor Who, but nice all the same.

Actually, it should be The Doctor.. that’s his name. The show is Doctor Who, and it’s never Dr. anything…

I only got Dorothy and the Doctor for sure – the two with the most distinctive footwear of all time! I totally should have gotten John McClane though…

I think it should be more the “10th Doctor” ’cause they all wear different shoes. His are my favourite though.

    I mistook Ripley’s with McFly’s.

Me three! And then I didn’t guess the two times it actually was Marty McFly.

Definitely thought Billy-Lo’s was the Bride from Kill Bill. Honest mistake.

I admit it’s been a very long time since I watched the First Doctor stuff thoroughly, but I thought the name was in reference to a companion’s error? (Specifically, because Doc and Susan had parked the TARDIS in a scrapyard labeled “IM Foreman, Scrap Merchant” and thus used the name ‘Foreman’ for Susan’s school records, Ian called him “Doctor Foreman” at one point, prompting Doc to remark derisively, “Doctor WHO?”)

Though in the *other* continuity (the movies, where he was human and played by Peter Cushing), I’m fairly certain his name was indeed Dr. Who.

I only got Marty McFly (The Nikes) and Pee Wee Herman.

You are correct as far as mentions of his name on the show, but the character was also listed in the credits as “Doctor Who” for a while in the regular (classic) series.

Which certainly doesn’t mean that anyone should be referring to the 10th doctor that way, though. That’s… not right.

    I easily recognized Luke Skywalker’s shoes :D
