Rainy With a Chance of Loki: Tom Hiddleston Reads the Weather

Recommended Videos

While promoting his Hank Williams biopic, I Saw the Light, Tom Hiddleston showed up on Chicago’s Fox 32 channel to break some bad weather news. Seeing as how Loki is the brother of Thor, the god of thunder, the station heads obviously figured it was best for him to come out and tell people that they should expect some nasty weather real soon. Of course, Hiddleston being the immensely polite gentleman he is, he came out not in full Loki mischievousness but rather in a very muted, almost bashful attitude.

Hiddleston opened his report saying, “My brother from another mother’s been misbehaving.” He went on to say, “The god of thunder has brought his skill set to bear on the local weather today. So there’s this huge stormfront coming in, and all that means is that Chris Hemsworth has taken his hammer and has smashed it on the surface of the sky, and it’s going to rain a hell of a lot.” And of course, with a bit of a Loki-esque I don’t care attitude, he ended by saying, “So, good luck with that.”

Let me say that anything and everything can be sunshine and roses as long as Hiddleston is reading. He could tell me that there’s fire pouring from the sky and that the fish are coming out of the sea to reclaim the world, and I’d just sigh wistfully like a little schoolgirl and not give a single shit. Siiiiigh.
