New Trailer for Epic Is Epi—No, No, I Won’t Say It. [VIDEO]

The first trailer for Epic, about a teenage girl who gets shrunk down to insect-size and must help her local forest creatures save their home from an evil… er… decay monster…? Can’t quite parse that one out. Anyway, the first trailer didn’t include much of its protagonist, voiced by Amanda Seyfried. This trailer, on the other hand, gives us a better look at her, and it has a pretty nice Honey, I Shrunk the Kids throwback at the end.

so it’s like a modern day reverse Fern Gully?

  • Anonymous

Urrggh, why can’t I ever get this excited about movies that are already out…

  • Ashe P. Samuels

The voice acting is pretty mediocre, I won’t lie. It’s clear who wanted a quick paycheck.

But the animation is great, with some neat designs. Those flower people are darling. That slug character, though…I am not looking forward to. He’ll be like Batty in 3D. I think a Ferngully joke was already made, but eh.

  • Lance Bravestar

Hasn’t the “Kid goes to fantastic hidden world” story been overdone already? I guess it still looks good, though.

  • Wullula

I don’t get why the ravens and decay are the “evil” ones. And aaaaalways those dumb “just because you can’t see it”-”Just believe in it”-sayings. Where are the rational-thinking Scooby Doo Heroes?

  • Rarity

Although I don’t care much for the title, plot or that one slug character, this might be the only movie (besides Avatar) I’ll see just because of the visuals alone.

Yup, that’s exactly what I was thinking.

  • Taste_is_Sweet

Lovely visuals, indeed. But it seems like a movie with one female character who does anything at all, and that is, apparently, to get saved a lot by many different males. And everybody’s white. So, yay for the status quo?
