I Think I’ve Played This Doctor Who RPG, No Wait, I Just Lived Through It [VIDEO]

So far, the Matt Smith era of Doctor Who has been a huge hit, both in the U.K. and the U.S. but some long-time fans of the sci-fi series are of the mind that his have been some of the most confusing seasons ever. To show us why, College Humor have put together another one of their fantastic RPG-style videos (you may remember their Battlestar Galactica one). Check it out after the jump!

College Humor says, “Now available for the BBCSNES!” If only that were true…

Oh, Rory.

I could be wrong but am I the only one who has noticed the similarity in style to Final Fantasy VI? I’m surprised more people haven’t.

The best part was them all dancing when it says “TIME TRAVEL” the first time.  I started bopping along, totally against my will.

Oh, there’s definitely similarity to FFVI.  And some blatant parodying of Pokemon.  I kept expecting music from them to start playing…

Did anyone notice other game similarities, as well?

I would buy this so fast it would break the sound barrier if it were an actual game.

Would that actually be possible? It would happen anyway.

This is shockingly appropriate, given that the last season of Doctor Who actually used plot elements lifted from Chrono Trigger.  (Crono clone, anyone?)
