Watch The Prequel To Doctor Who’s The Bells of Saint John

Steven Moffat and the BBC present a prequel webisode to the second half of Doctor Who Season 7. I don’t want to risk spoiling anything by explaining it so…watch!

The question is did he know it was her? I think that she’s a trap set by someone in order to get the Doctor.

    OMG! OMG!

    Maybe the Daleks?

Why look, the Doctor meets a child version of a future companion/love interest. I’m shocked. It’s not like this has ever happened before.

Maybe Davros, but not the Daleks in general. Seems to…unfocused if you know what I mean.

Hopefully something new. or old . I would love to see them do a show about the old ones. the beings that were around before the universe.

Fans speculate: Will she define her entire life around waiting for the Doctor? More at eleven.

Well it’s official, Moffatt is out of ideas completely.

If anything it’s probably yet another convoluted plan fabricated by the Silence that -of surprise!- won’t work out the way as planned.

Sweet Lord yes. I don’t think I’ll even watch the next season. Bleh. They should just let Neil Gaiman write every episode.

More than anything I’m interested in finding out how Clara erased the Doctor from history, I don’t need another love interest, we’ve got River for that, and she’s damn good at it. If Moffat sends River away and replaces her with Clara, I will be very cross indeed.

While fans continue to whine about Moffat, I’ll just be content that smith is still awesome, with little moments like this only enhancing it.

My five year old came screaming across the room the second I started watching the trailer, saying, “I wanna watch Doctor Who, I wanna watch Doctor Who!” And clapped with glee when she noticed that the Doctor was talking to another little girl like her.

Say what you will about Moffatt but I adore 11 and his affinity for children. Plus, do you have any idea how wondrous it is to experience Doctor Who through your five year old’s eyes? My daughter is growing up and dreaming about the Doctor and his magic box that could take her through time and space. That makes it pretty damned awesome in my book.

    Freaking A.

I wonder if Clara is the Doctor’s future regeneration and she forgot who she is…like, maybe, she’s Doctor #145 or so. Moffatt already said that they’d arbitrarily throw out the regeneration limit the moment someone mentioned it…has the Doctor ever met a future version of himself in the present episode?

In an episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures with 11 as a guest he mentioned or someone mentioned he now has over 150 regenerations available.

Ah, right there. Maybe Clara is a later Doctor, then? If they make her some crazy off in the distance number then it doesn’t matter whether she’s actually the star of the show at some point…they’d never reach that high. Of course, if they have plans for her to be the NEXT Doctor, that could be interesting.
