If this one looks more fabric than glass, there's a reason for that. According to the description, "I thought giving this piece a 'tapestry' texture fit the story of the movie better. Tapestries were a core part of the plot. Not THE core, of course, but important none the less."

DeviantArtist Akili-Amethyst has immortalized some of our favorite Disney women in stained glass. Well, faux stained glass, anyway. Regardless, the effect is beautiful and I wish someone would get to work on making these in real life!
Are you following The Mary Sue on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, & Google +?
I know my Disney pretty well…so who is the second one supposed to be?
Giselle from Enchanted.
That’s Giselle from “Enchanted,” the live-action/animated hybrid with Amy Adams. Meanwhile, I’m just wondering where Belle is?
(I had the same question; no shame!)
If you love Disney, watch Enchanted. It’s brilliant. Absolutely brilliant
So, like in Kingdom Hearts, right? And I feel sorry for the real-world characters in the Giselle one. XD
I think my favorite from this series is the one for Mulan.
Wow, you never see Kida in things like this. Excellent. And I love the Merida one.
OH …I was lost, too. Okay.
Thanks! Guess I was only thinking of the fully animated films.
Oh Ive seen it. Just wasnt thinking of it looking at these, assumed it was only the fully animated movies
Me too! I’d have picked Bella over Giselle…
Didn’t this already happen in Kingdom Hearts? :P
She also does My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic stained glass designs, and has been working on converting those into collector’s coins, using Kickstarter for funding. I’ve got one of the first ones she did, and it looks awesome in silver & gold, and she just started soliciting for backers on her second:
