Breaking: Patrick Wilson And Other Major Cast Members May Have Left Ant-Man

Can't, man?

Unconfirmed but not necessarily improbable rumor alert: Deadline is reporting that Patrick Wilson and two other “major” cast members have dropped out of the beleaguered Ant-Man.

Luckily, we shouldn’t have to wait long to find out if this rumor holds any weight: Wilson is reportedly joined in quitting by Matt Gerard and Kevin Weisman, so tomorrow’s Hall H presentation at Comic-Con should be revealing (considering the troubles that have plagued this production, the panel was probably always destined to be awkward at the very least). Deadline’s tip comes courtesy of “insiders” who say Gerard and Weisman’s characters were written out of a new version of the script, and Wilson departed over a scheduling conflict. Grains of salt and all that, but it wouldn’t be the most shocking thing in the world if Ant-Man just jettisoned some more talent. Time will tell.
