Watch The Scary Short That Inspired Guillermo del Toro’s New Film Mama, If You Dare

When Guillermo del Toro tells you something is one of the scariest thing he’s ever seen, it might be time to close your eyes. But for the purposes of this post, don’t do that, just make sure to go use the restroom first. Andy Muschietti and sister Barbara Muschietti created this short, which caught del Toro’s attention and got him behind the feature length film, Mama, starring Jessica Chastain and Game of Thrones’ Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.

    Saw the trailer for the film in theaters, holy crap! I know I jump easily, but…damn I can’t wait to see this movie!!

    I didn’t think it was scary at all. Have I just become so desensitized to horror films that nothing scares me anymore?
    The trailer for the movie looks pretty kick ass though, so I’ll most definately be seeing it when it comes out.
