After starring in a blockbuster franchise and singing a duet with Barbra Streisand, it’s safe to say that Daisy Ridley is off to a great start in her career. Now she’ll keep the momentum going as a new addition to the cast of the live-action/animated hybrid Peter Rabbit movie.

As Variety reported, the big screen adaption of the childhood classic already enlisted the help of Rose Byrne (as the live-action female lead Bea) and James Corden (as the voice of Peter Rabbit) before adding Ridley, and The Night Manager and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 star Elizabeth Debicki to the mix.

Created by Beatrix Potter and first appearing in The Tale of Peter Rabbit in 1902, Peter is an anthropomorphic rabbit who wears a jacket and shoes. He lives with his three sisters, Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton-Tail in a rabbit hole with their mother Mrs. Rabbit. The character has gone on to appear in five other books included The Tale of Benjamin Bunny and The Tale of Mr. Todd, where his sister Flopsy and cousin Benjamin’s children are kidnapped.

The film will be directed by Will Gluck, whose work includes Easy A and the 2014 adaptation of the musical Annie, and feature a script from Rob Lieber who also wrote Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.

No word yet on Ridley or Debicki’s roles but production on the film starts in January 2017 with a release set for April 2018.
