Sometimes, when people drop hints about a movie adaptation being in the works, I snort derisively. But sometimes, when I might otherwise snort, I instead honestly feel bad for any fans reading the statement, and feel like the people involved should really keep it to themselves until they have concrete information.
I know, I know, a good part of getting movies made is showing that there’s an interest in them, and it’s hard to do that if you don’t tell anybody about them, but… I’m sorry. I just can’t see another X-Files movie getting made until years from now when somebody decides it’s time for a full reboot of the concept.
