Somebody just show him where he can get some pocky. Seriously, it’s the only cookie-type-object he can get to fit through his mask.

The Harlem Shake is a dance that originated in, you guess it, Harlem and should probably not be confused with what has now become an internet meme. The meme doesn’t really have anything to do with the original dance and is more an experiment in how ridiculous you can be. Well, it basically started this month and soared in popularity, so much so we’ve now got a Star Wars version to watch. Be sure to keep an eye on the Stormtrooper at the very end.
How would you like to see the same concept done with Star Wars action figures instead? We’ve got that after the jump.

The cast of Star Wars: The Clone Wars have a little downtime on their hands thanks to the Disney/LucasFilm purchase. The show will be wrapping up its tenure on Cartoon Network soon and finding a new comfy spot on Disney XD. In the meantime, a little frivolity is called for. To wit, a bowling competition with Chris Hardwick! Voice of Ahoska and our HerUniverse.com pal, Ashley Eckstein, took part and even got a little advice from some friendly Clone Troopers.

We know the long-running feud over Star Trek vs. Star Wars can range from telling jokes to throwing punches but the interesting thing about J.J. Abrams being chosen to direct the next Star Wars film was the entire world realized it was blasphemy, not just fandom. So what does the rebooted Trek’s Captain Kirk think of the news? Actor Chris Pine is excited for his friend, but also really serious about making sure he’s back on board the Enterprise in a few years. But what if Pine were to get a role in Abrams’ Star Wars? Would a black hole open up and suck all of us into it? Find out what Pine thinks.

John Woo (not the Face Off director, he insists) has created a series called “He Wears It.” It features mostly Star Wars men (and one lady) in outfits you wouldn’t see members of the Galactic Empire wearing. Perhaps this is what they prefer to rock while on leave? You can find limited edition prints of most of these in his Etsy shop but take a look at what Darth Vader, Stormtroopers, C-3PO, and more are stepping out in these days.

“I’m as angry as you should be. … When I heard that I was like, ‘I wonder … no, I really can’t do that. Oh, I already have a job.’ I wouldn’t clear the Avengers. I’m having so much fun with that sequel right now, just with the script, that I couldn’t imagine not doing it.” — Joss Whedon on not being able to direct Star Wars: Episode VII because of the Avengers sequel. So J.J. Abrams and Guillermo del Toro were offered the movie but said no, and Whedon wanted to do it but can’t. Disney’s having worse luck than Jek Porkins during the Battle of Yavin.

We might have had the same guy directing Star Trek and Star Wars. Let that sink in for a moment. My inner 13-year-old, who loved Wars and hated Trek with a fiery passion symptomatic of not having seen the reboot, is twitching up a storm right now.

Something interesting happened yesterday. International news agency Reuters published a story with some information on Star Wars VII. In it, they seemed to detail a very specific bit of plot related to a shooting location. And honestly? While it might have been a mistake, it could be the most legit bit of news we’ve heard about the upcoming film’s plot so far.

The next logical step in a huge Disney/LucasFilm purchase announcement is who will direct and who will star in Star Wars VII. Speculation is running wild since last week but a few tidbits are slowly leaking out. For instance, Harrison Ford is apparently up for returning to his iconic role even though he really wanted Han Solo to die. This is what we get for hiring a smuggler.
