In case you’re one of the five people who hasn’t seen it yet, last month Patton Oswalt improvised an eight-minute rant on what star Wars: Episode VII should be like (keywords: Boba Fett, Tony Stark, X-Men, robot spider Chewbacca) for an episode of Parks and Recreation. Entertainment Weekly’s CapeTown Film Festival was just one of many events celebrating Star Wars this past weekend but the only one that had a surprise appearance from Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill. Take a look at what he had to say about the direction the new trilogy should take.

Well, it’s far, far away if you don’t live on the West Coast. This Saturday, May 4th, is Star Wars Day (because “May the Fourth Be With You.” Punny holidays are the best kind), and to celebrate that momentous occasion Alhambra, CA’s Gallery Nucleus is debuting a new Star Wars exhibit titled “A Saga in the Stars: A Tribute to a Galaxy Far, Far Away.” A few selections from the show are behind the cut. If you want to see the more and happen to be in the Alhambra area, it’s open until May 26th.

A few months ago, Fisher seemingly spilled the beans about her involvement in the next Star Wars trilogy then her publicist spoke up to tell us she was only joking. But George Lucas went on record to say she’d basically been signed so we were extra confused. Disney CEO Bob Iger at least admitted there were “discussions.”

So how should we take this latest statement. Fisher is quite the comedian and obviously she was joking about being bought by Disney but them sending her a trainer seems logical if she’s expected to be physical in her role as Leia in J.J. Abrams’ film. An official announcement would be nice, Disney.

The reality of new Stars Wars movies hasn’t really sunk in for me before now. Strange, I know, since we already have a writer and a director for Episode VII. But for some reason it took Disney’s announcement that they’re committing to a movie every summer starting in 2015 that really brought it home for me that, holy crap, we’re getting new Star Wars movies. A lot of new Star Wars movies.

Help, I’m starting to panic.

The four-year-old son of mother/blogger/Star Wars fan Stephanie Kaloi is recovering from surgery to both his legs. He associates the walker he has to use with pain, explains Kaloi, because “while in the hospital [the doctors] asked him to stand and walk with it and it hurt (a lot) post-op.”

So how can the walker be associated with something positive, instead? Easy. Kid’s a Star Wars fan. Turn it into an AT-AT.

Not an April Fool’s joke, Dark Horse said so specifically. The comic publisher is readying a new series titled The Star Wars which follows George Lucas’ early Star Wars screenplay. We’ve got details and a full page of preview art from the series after the jump. 

Black Milk gained a good amount of geek cred when they launched their Star Wars line a few years ago, then secured their place in our hearts when they went for the Lord of the Rings license.
