Patton Oswalt’s Star Wars/Marvel Rant Gets An Animated Short Film [VIDEO]

In case you’re one of the five people who hasn’t seen it yet, last month Patton Oswalt improvised an eight-minute rant on what star Wars: Episode VII should be like (keywords: Boba Fett, Tony Stark, X-Men, robot spider Chewbacca) for an episode of Parks and Recreation. And now Isaac Moores has created an animated version of that pitch. It’s geek-o-licious. Enjoy.

Carrie Fisher Mentions Getting In Shape For Star Wars VII, We Can’t Tell If She’s Joking

“I like being bought by Disney, because they never wanted to buy me before. I’m glad they are doing a new movie because they are sending a trainer to my house so I can get in really good shape. So I’m really eating a lot of sugar in advance, as you can see. By the time I really get down to it I will have eaten everything.”Carrie Fisher speaking to and audience at the BMO Centre via the Calgary Herald.

A few months ago, Fisher seemingly spilled the beans about her involvement in the next Star Wars trilogy then her publicist spoke up to tell us she was only joking. But George Lucas went on record to say she’d basically been signed so we were extra confused. Disney CEO Bob Iger at least admitted there were “discussions.”

So how should we take this latest statement. Fisher is quite the comedian and obviously she was joking about being bought by Disney but them sending her a trainer seems logical if she’s expected to be physical in her role as Leia in J.J. Abrams’ film. An official announcement would be nice, Disney.

Starting In 2015 We’re Getting a New Star Wars Movie Every Year Until Disney Stops Making Money Off Of Them

The reality of new Stars Wars movies hasn’t really sunk in for me before now. Strange, I know, since we already have a writer and a director for Episode VII. But for some reason it took Disney’s announcement that they’re committing to a movie every summer starting in 2015 that really brought it home for me that, holy crap, we’re getting new Star Wars movies. A lot of new Star Wars movies.

Help, I’m starting to panic.

Need Something Heartwarming to Read? This Four-Year-Old Star Wars Fan And His (Imperial) Walker Might Do the Trick.

The four-year-old son of mother/blogger/Star Wars fan Stephanie Kaloi is recovering from surgery to both his legs. He associates the walker he has to use with pain, explains Kaloi, because “while in the hospital [the doctors] asked him to stand and walk with it and it hurt (a lot) post-op.”

So how can the walker be associated with something positive, instead? Easy. Kid’s a Star Wars fan. Turn it into an AT-AT.
