Watch carefully. I’m about to progressively add words to a statement. Every time I do this, the awesomeness of said statement will increase.
Melissa McCarthy in a movie.
Melissa McCarthy in a spy movie.
Melissa McCarthy as the leading role in a spy movie.
Melissa McCarthy as the leading role in a spy movie, with Jason Statham as her co-star.

This is one of those rare times that I regret moving away from Southern California. Hero Complex Gallery, located in Los Angeles, is currently hosting a gorgeous joint exhibition by artists Meghan Stratman and Nicole Gustafsson. Adventure Show features paper art and illustration with a heavy dose of geek culture. In other words, everything I love. For those who can’t attend in person (sob), feast your eyes here.

I have a toy/statue/action figure collecting problem. This does not help. Say hello to the newest line from DC Collectibles debuting at Toy Fair this weekend – a series based on Dustin Nguyen’s fantastic Lil’ Gotham comic series (mini-Joker!!!!!!). They’ll also be putting out one of Batman and the Joker. Take a look at a short preview featuring those and other cool DC Collectibles on the way.

He may not be vintage but he is highly collectible. Clark Gregg is certainly excited.

We’ve seen some Black Widow, some Winter Soldier, and a whole lot of Chris Evans’ attractive, semi-brooding face in Captain America: The Winter Soldier promos so far, but this is the first time Anthony Mackie‘s Falcon has gotten some love. One more photo is behind the cut, this one of the back of his head. But it is a very nice back of the head. Quite emotive.

Lockets are pretty awesome. But make those lockets geeky and suddenly they’re even more awesome. Etsy Store ThreeTwelveTrinkets sells these super cool geeky lockets that include fandoms as varied as Marvel, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, and Minecraft. You can even custom order one if you don’t see anything you like in their current collection. And, as an added bonus, they’re super affordable.

Or at least this friendship necklace modeled after the emblem of Raleigh Becket and Mako Mori’s jeager would be a great present for your drift compatible friend or loved one… if Etsy shop The Geek Studio hadn’t sold out of them almost immediately. Ah well, that just means you’ll have to keep checking back with them to see if they’ve put them back in stock. Check out Fashionably Geek for a few more pictures of the pendants.

Melissa Shang is ten years old and she has more American Girl dolls than I ever had (read: none). But she’s not satisfied. Shang, who has Muscular Dystrophy, would love for Mattel to create an American Girl doll who uses a wheelchair.

It’s too late to order these hand-painted shoes by Etsy seller FanX in time for Christmas. I’m a little relieved, to be honest. They’d be perfect presents, but if I’m not getting C-3PO shoes under the tree then I don’t want any of my friends to, either. Christmas spirit only takes one so far.
