Well, Now We (Might) Actually Know Who the Villain in Star Trek 2 Is (Spoilers Below the Cut)

Huh. Well, Karl Urban‘s probably a little bit in trouble with his Star Trek bosses right about now. While on a promotional kick for his new film, Dredd,Urban was asked what it was like to work with Benedict Cumberbatch on the set of the upcoming Star Trek sequel. And then Urban, if he was indeed telling the truth, told the world who Cumberbatch would be playing.

How to Keep From Seeing Spoilers

Stay off Tumblr. At least, that’s how my friends who follow tumblogs about their favorite ongoing television shows manage it. New Sherlock mini this Friday? Whelp, better stay of Tumblr all weekend. Won’t be home to watch Doctor Who until next week? Better steer clear of Twitter for a while. Looking for a clip of a major Game of Thrones character on YouTube but have only watched the series? Better not look at the comments.

LifeHacker, however, offers several solutions to these problems, mostly through the use of browser addons that will exclude posts with certain tags from showing up in the feed of your favorite social networking or microblogging site.

You Can Experience Battlestar Galactica In 4 Minutes Thanks To This 16-Bit Version

This 16-bit video game Battlestar Galactica parody by College Humor is pretty spot on when it comes to summing up the entire series. It also does a really good job of spoiling the entire series. Nods to both the classic and relaunch series ahead.

New Pics From the Set of Man of Steel, We Still Can’t Believe Lois Is Not a Brunette

While we here at The Mary Sue are fans of Amy Adams and don’t doubt her acting abilities, it’s kind of weird to see this picture of her on the set of Man of Steel and know that she’s meant to be Lois Lane. Because Lois Lane is, and always has been, a brunette. But since it’s Ms. Adams’ birthday today, we’ll just go with it. We will not sit here and rain on her parade, especially since she’s going to be in The Muppets later this year. So, Happy Birthday, Amy Adams! If you’d like to see more set pictures, including a couple of very spoilery ones and one with Superman in costume, we have posted those after the jump.

Catwoman Might Be As Unsettlingly Creepy as Heath Ledger’s Joker [Slight Spoiler]

Catwoman is apparently one of the most well written characters we’ve seen in these movies so far and she could potentially steal the show the way Heath Ledger did last time. She does some cool stuff in the movie like jumping out of windows and stealing the Batpod. — A source to Batman News, divulging a few details about Anne Hathaway‘s Catwoman/Selina Kyle in The Dark Knight Rises. Another source also says that the costume pics that were revealed on Friday were not totally complete. (As in, there will possibly be a more cat-like cowl added at some point.) If you’d like to read the slightly spoilery part about our villain’s backstory, I’ve added that after the jump.

Warner Bros Releases Pivotal (Spoilery) Scene from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

We tend to avoid the MTV Movie Awards these days, for fear of being buried in a disturbing amount of  Twilight fanfare and glitzy B-list celebrities. But one arguable perk to the award show is the slew of trailers and exclusive clips it tends to premiere. With Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 a mere month and a half from release (!!!!!), fans everywhere are clamping on to every new trailer, poster, or cast interview they can get their hands on. And it’s not for nothing; for many who grew up with Harry, the release of the final film marks the symbolic end of adolescence. But the clip Warner Bros. decided to premiere last night is not just any clip; it’s a look at arguably the most important Avada Kedavra ever uttered in the series.

For those yet to read the final book (or are simply avoiding important details of the final movie), let this serve as the prerequisite SPOILER ALERT.
