I have breaking news for everyone: no matter what you do today, you will not top this video. Because this is a video in which children re-enact the chestbursting scene from Ridley Scott‘s Alien. With a sock puppet and a hair clip. And pizza and fake mustaches. These kids will grow up to be heroes. I just know it. They laugh in the face of fear (at about 30 seconds in).

I just hope this lamb is healthy, and this isn’t a sign of a serious neurological disorder. Because it is so funny to watch this lamb jump in the air for the sheer heck of it. In fact, if you’ve been sitting all day, and you are in a carpeted room, feel free to do exactly what this lamb is doing. But be careful. We don’t want you to injure yourself, even in the name of joy and fun.

So, among the things that happen in the daily life a normal New Zealander, besides a day trip to the set of The Hobbit — adorable baby fur seals sneaking into one’s home through the cat door and crashing on the couch! Tauranga resident Annette Swoffer came home this past weekend to find the baby seal pictured above just making itself at home on her couch. Want to see more? You may recall that this time last week, we brought you the story of the baby seal who was shunned by his family because his fur was ginger. He was rescued. Well, before you reach for your second box of tissues, we have good news about this five-day-old bald baby penguin: he was also rescued. But the bad news is that he was also shunned by his family. But remember the good news we just mentioned in the previous sentence, and add to that this: new feathers. He has been re-introduced to his family and he now has feathers. However, the people at Pixar are looking at this and getting ideas for a new movie called Bald Penguin and Ginger Seal: An Iceberg Made From Tears.

Okay, before you reach for the Kleenex because of the thought of that adorable baby seal being abandoned by all those other seals in the background, here is the good news: he has been adopted and is being cared for by a very nice person. There is no bad news, except for the mean seals, who are mean. Now that you have this information, it’s okay to imagine the Hulk theme music while viewing the picture above.
