Black Milk Adds New Items To Their The Lord of the Rings Line. What Say You About Them?

Feel free to leave a comment about which one(s) you’re coveting (for me that’s the map dress/tunic top and dwarf leggings). Alternatively, we can discuss Black Milk’s pricing ($85 for leggings?!) and how their clothes are don’t come in plus sizes. Your mileage may vary. Whatever. It’s all good.

If You Thought Lord of the Rings Was an Epic Journey, Wait Until You Watch This Nerdy Scavenger Hunt Proposal

This may be the sweetest, most involved geek proposal I’ve ever seen. Luke Plastow put together a Lord of the Rings themed scavenger hunt for his girlfriend on Christmas Day last year with the intent of asking her to marry him at the end. He wrote to us to say, “She is a huge Tolkein fan and it seemed right that if I was going to give her a ring it should be LOTR themed. The ring itself is Palladium, with a stone the same colour as Sauron’s eye. The setting for the stone is the same shape as Isengard. Inside the ring is an inscription in Black Speech saying ‘One ring to rule them all.’ ”

Luke, if you weren’t already taken…oh wait, you said your fiancé reads our site…best of luck in your lifelong fellowship!

When Zoë found an Uruk-hai scimitar in an antique shop while visiting a friend she bought it without hesitation, even though it cut into her gas money. Zelda Music Never Looked So Good

A month ago we featured some Zelda bracelets that were a subtle way to pay homage to the music of The Legend of Zelda and particularly Ocarina of Time, where playing music is one of the vital ways in which Link interacts with the world. Peregrine Studios on Etsy has a smaller, more expensive solution for your Zelda music jewelry needs.

Gollum Does A Lord of the Rings Rendition Of Donnie Darko’s Mad World

Originally recorded by Tears for Fears, “Mad World” was covered by Michael Andrews and Gary Jules for the movie Donnie Darko. Here’s Gollum singing it. But it’s not just a cover, it’s Gollum singing about stuff that happens in Lord of the Rings to the tune of the song. Pretty creative if you ask me. But it’s not the first time! You may remember the same guy doing a song from Les Misérables. But what is up with the dude in the background?

Gollum Mourns the Loss of His Precious By Singing “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Misérables. Like You Do. [VIDEO]

It took me a few seconds to get into YouTube user Ijameswalters, as Gollum, singing “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Misérables. But then he changed the “I”s to “we”s and the lyrics started mentioning nasty Hobbitses, and by 3:20 I’d completely lost it.

Essential Wizarding Gear for All Occasions (Even Balrogs)

The LotR Project spends most of its time quantitatively recording, researching, and presenting details and data from Tolkein’s Middle Earth setting. I see absolutely no deviation between their usual work and this poster, which is being offered for sale.
