Talia al Ghul, Commissioner Gordon Reunite in New David Bowie Music Video

Gary Oldman, stop yelling at singing prophet David Bowie. And Marion Cotillard, you’ve got red on you.

Warning for breasts, blood, creepy eyelashes, and extreme religious symbolism.

Guess Who Loki Is In This Avengers Mash-Up With The Breakfast Club

I honestly don’t know what to make of this. Combining The Avengers and The Breakfast Club is such a ridiculous idea (not that it’s any more ridiculous than anything else on the internet, mind you) and the characters don’t even stay matched up through the whole thing but I love it anyway. But as one of the commenters on the YouTube page says, “This is what the Internet is for.”

From Up On Poppy Hill the Latest English Release from Studio Ghibli

Set in 20th century Japan shortly after World War II, From Up on Poppy Hill is based on the manga of (roughly) the same name, a peaceful coming of age/romance where a push for the new in anticipation of the 1964 Olympics lies in conflict with remembrance of the old. In other words, maybe something to watch after Grave of the Fireflies, when you feel like nothing will ever be okay ever again. The English voice cast includes folks like Ron Howard, Gillian Anderson, and Christina Hendricks.

AMC’s The Walking Dead Hires Its Third Showrunner, Puts Superglue On All Office Chairs

We were fairly surprised last December when news broke of The Walking Dead’s Glen Mazzara leaving the show. Not so much for the decision of course but because this was the second showrunner to exit the popular cable series in as many years. Now a third individual has entered the apocalypse fray and we hope they last the night.

Tom Hiddleston Says He’d Consider Being in Star Wars If Asked

In an interview with Digital Spy, Tom Hiddleston has said that he would consider appearing in the upcoming Star Wars films if asked.

“I’m a huge fan, especially of the first three,” said Loki Hiddleston. “…Absolutely, yeah. It would depend on the story and the character and things. But I don’t know, maybe people would associate me too closely with Loki—I hope not.”

Don’t Watch My Little Pony? Doesn’t Matter. You Still Need to See This Music Video About Cons. [VIDEO]

Here’s some cute to start your Sunday: This parody video of the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic song “At the Gala” turns its focus to that most beloved of nerd hangouts: The convention. Though the song name-checks My Little Pony con Canterlot Gardens, its lyrics about the different types of con-goers apply to nerds of all different proclivities.

Speaking of conventions… Don’t forget about the New York Comic Con party we’re hosting with Her Universe this Friday! Be there or be… not in the New York area. Awww. :(

Raiders of the Lost Ark, All In One Gif

Brought to our eyeballs by the same person who gave us each of the original Star Wars movies in one gif, here’s Raiders of the Lost Ark, again, all as one animated gif. Also on PixelMash Theater‘s Website: The other two Indiana Jones films (Kingdom of the Crystal what now? Sorry. Never heard of it.), Purgatory 1, 2, and 3, Aliens, and Back to the Future. Apparently they’ve all been around for a while, but the Star Wars gifs are the only ones I’d seen before.

I know what I’m doing this weekend! …Actually, probably watching a real movie. But still! These are pretty impressive. Check out Raiders after the jump.

Mister Rogers Wants A Neighbor For A New Generation [VIDEO]

It’s been a while since I’ve thought of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood but I do remember the show, and the man, fondly. Normally I’d say something like this is sacrilege but I genuinely dig it. Remixed by John D. Boswell of Symphony of Science for PBS Digital Studios, I’m going to go out on a limb and say this is like nothing you’ve heard/seen before.

The Internet Is a Bleak Place Today, So We’re Talking About This Dinosaur Action Movie Thing

Okay, so, we heard about this “alleged” movie that Warner Bros. wants to make, and it seemed to us that it was this weird, nebulous idea generated by either a computer or Mad Libs or both, and then someone was going to magically turn it into a movie. With science. But, in fact, it is an actual script, written by a human, about a “rapidly evolving species of dinosaurs who attack modern Los Angeles.” Because prehistoric Los Angeles would have been silly! Can you imagine? Dinosaurs getting plastic surgery? What did they use for resurfacing their complexions, rocks? Preposterous!
